Prayer & Praise November 2012
Praise
Join with us in thanking the Lord :
For the salvation of Zarina & Dasha on a recent trip to Kyrgyzstan whilst sharing in the book of James at the CC Bishkek church conference. Please pray they would grow strong in the Lord.
For Gods faithfulness and blessing during the outreach trips to Melbourne and Tauranga: The Lord blessed the teaching of His word at the CC Melbourne family camp in Australia, as we taught through 1st & 2nd Thessalonians, alongside Pastor Darryl Henchie of CC Perth. The Lord blessed our five person team with many opportunities to share in worship and serve in the children’s ministry. The remainder of CCBI were on outreach serving with Shoreline Church in Tauranga, New Zealand. They served in practical ways and the ministry of helps as well as sharing the Gospel at various locations during the week.
For a blessed speakers week at CCBI with Pastor Luis Solis ( CC Kearney) and Pastor Tom Dickersen (CC Stonybrook ) in New Jersey . We spent last week studying the ten commandments for our speakers week and we were truly blessed on so many levels. The ministry from the word was tremendous and thought provoking, the personal times of fellowship with Tom and Luis were of great encouragement to us as a team and their interaction with the student body was insightful and impactful. Please thank the Lord with us for the blessings that time of ministry and pray for Tom & Luis as they go back to real needs in the aftermath of the storms on the eastern seaboard of the USA.
At the beginning of November the Lord opened up an opportunity for us to move into a house opposite the CCBI Campus and at the same time release the apartment we were in for Mike & Kristin Montgomery, who joined us here on the pastoral staff at the begining of the September semester, so we had crazy weekend of playing musical houses. Praise the Lord that when the music stopped everyone ended up with a place to live, we even got to celebrate a certain 50th birthday too. Please pray for a quick adjustment for us and the ministry.
For the Lord providing scholarships to enable three of our current student to return for next semester, the exciting thing is that two of them are nationals.
Prayer requests:
Please pray with us and seek the Lord’s help:
As I write I am sitting Changi Airport in Singapore on the way to Hungary to share as one of the speakers at the CCBCE speakers week in Vajta November 19th – 23rd. Please pray that the Lord would make this very fruitful time and truly anoint the ministry as we look at the upper room discourse from John 13- 18.
As I sit in Singapore, Gwyn is currently teaching the Shoreline ladies retreat at Waihi beach, please pray that this will be avery fruitful time for the ladies of Shoreline. This is the third Ladies retreat that Gwyn has taught at in the last couple of months, The National Ladies retreat for Capernwray New Zealand, the CC Sydney Ladies retreat and now the Shore line Ladies retreat. This seems to be a new area of ministry the the Lord is opening for Gwyn and pleas pray for wisdom as she wrestles with this and seeks wisdom from the Lord as to how to respond to these new opportunities.
We have managed to revamp the CCBI website and even posted a video showing the heart and vision of the campus here in New Zealand, Why not have a look at the new website at www.ccbi.ac.nz
Please pray that the Lord would use this to bring those he wishes to study and serve with us as interns here at CCBI.
Jordy has just completed his first year at Auckland university, the time has flown by and he is currently waiting for his results and interview to enter the second year of Medical school. Please pray that the Lord would guide and opens the door as He wishes.
Becky is currently completing her end of year exams and will turn 16 in just a few days. Please pray for her to finish well.
Finally, please pray for the Lord’s refreshment for us , the staff and students of CCBI as we enter the last 5 weeks of the semester, that we would all finish well. Personally, I feel in need of refreshment and desire to hear the Lord voice particularly about the decisions that need to be made in preparation for the next season of ministry.
Once again we thank the Lord for His faithfulness and provision, we are deeply grateful for your love, care and prayers , without which we would simply not be here.
With our love and respect for your co labouring
