When fear knocks at the door, let faith answer and you find that no one is there
There is so often a gap between theology and the reality of ones own personal experience. This is point that God has really brought home to us in these last remaining days here in Hungary, before we move to New Zealand.
One of the Key verses for us has been:
‘I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron.
I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places that you may know that I, the LORD, Who call you by your name, am the God of Israel.
The promise that God will go before us, ultimately, so that we will know Him more, this is always the heart of God, that we may know Him more.
Well the theology is that God goes before us, the reality though is this. It is not until you walk in faith and then reach a certain place, that you realize that God as already been there. If you never walk in faith, it remains a theology rather than a personal reality!
We have found this to be true, when we get somewhere, true to His word The Lord has already been there.
Praise God as it encourages us to walk forward, all the more, as He is going before us.
